Johore Animal Welfare Week MNAWF participated in Johore Animal Welfare Week organised by the Department of Veterinary Services, Johore from 20 to 25 March, 1999 in Muar. The highlight of the event, which was open to the public, was a live cat and cat artifacts exhibition by the Feline Society of Malaysia. Several interesting programmes were held, including contests involving active participation by pet owners and their pets, with prizes awarded to the winners. The Foundation sponsored some of the prizes for the contests. The event drew good response and was well received by all. It is hoped to organise more such community projects in other states in the country as well. |
