Public Seminar Human – Animal Interaction: The Bond

A Short Note From The Editor,

Greetings from Cooldog,

We had a very good AGM on the 26^th of October and would like to thank the members who took the time to attend. We were also glad for the chance to meet and get to know some of our new members who were present.

A new exco for 2002/04 comprising 9 members was elected. Several committee members graciously accepted re-election and three new faces were added. We wish to specially thank the past exco for their contributions and commitment. Despite their own commitments and busy schedules they made every effort to help organise and participate in activities.

During November and December we will begin planning and preparing for activities in the first half of next year that includes National Animal Welfare Week 2003 to be held during the Malaysia International Pet Expo (MIPE) 2003 in March. The main item during animal welfare week will be a special program for schools as part of our animal welfare education in schools. Next on the list is a canine behaviour training seminar with Terry Ryan, (previously held in July 2001) animal behaviourist and trainer from the US, followed by a charity movie premiere scheduled for end May.

I think we're going to need lots of help on these, so members who are interested and able to assist, please contact our office for more details.
