Awareness / Educational Programme in Schools International Year of Volunteers If A Dog Had Been Your Teacher |
UPDATE ON PAST ACTIVITIES, Animal Welfare Seminar A seminar entitled 'People & Pets 2000' was held on 16 November at Palace of the Golden Horses, Mines Resort. Four interesting topics were presented, namely: 'Power of love' by Dr. Sivagurunathan, 'Animal-assisted therapy' by Dato' Seri Dr. Mahadevan, 'Coping with grief from loss/death of a pet' by Dr. Teoh Hsien-Jin and 'Responsible pet ownership' by Dr. Johara Mohd. Yob. The seminar, which attracted many students, helped give a better understanding on these aspects of animal welfare. |
