Malaysian National Animal Welfare Council (MNAWC),

We have been waiting to activate the functions of this Council with the appointment of a Chairman. A suitable candidate has recently been identified and pending a formal appointment, we hope to get council members together for a meeting.

The Council will comprise various government and non-government bodies involved in animal welfare. It will look into current by-laws and regulations to help streamline and upgrade these. It will also discuss national policies and issues relating to the animal industry.
